GenesInk continues its expansion in Asia and is pleased to announce the opening of its new office on June 1st in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan. This office marks the continuation of the company’s development throughout the world.

The Taipei office complements the Japanese office which was opened in June 2018. The Taipei office is the demonstration of GenesInk’s entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to expand its sales worldwide.

The French company is strengthening its commercial presence in the Asian market with two new employees, Ken and Laura, who are supported by Mei-Ling, a local team dedicated to customer relationship management. They are in charge of the development of Taiwan, South Korea and ASEAN.

Asia is constantly looking for innovation and this is GenesInk “raison d’être”. This is a very important step in our development. This presence in Asia has become essential to develop GenesInk’s market segments internationally. This will allow the company to further develop its business opportunities in Asia.

GenesInk push further it’s expansion in Asia signing a partnership contract with Japan number one printing equipment manufacturer Mino Group. 

On December 12th at the regional government building in Marseille,  Corinne Versini  CEO of GenesInk signed with Shin Nagase CEO of Mino Group of Japan a marketing and sales distribution contract for GenesInk products in Asia .

The agreement was signed in the presence of Caroline Pozmentier Sportich Vice President of the Provence Alpes Côté d’Azur Région and Akira Takeda Japan consul of Marseille.

This agreement will enable genesInk to further expand its businesses opportunities in Japan and Asia as MINO group is the leading manufacturer of printing equipments dedicated to the printed electronics. 

Mino Group specialist and customers have recognized GenesInk products to be superior to the existing  offer and have already identified several potential applications that would be enabled by GenesInk Smart Inks.

The same day Mr NAGASE could also attend GenesInk’ workshop dedicated to fine line printing. The workshop draw the attention of several leading companies in Europe that have provided excellent feed back on the workshop quality and interest. 

This event gathered more than 500 companies in the field of nano-technologies among which several tens were involved in the industry of printed electronics.

More than 50,000 visitors showed up to this exhibition along the 3 days and very fruitful conversations and contacts were established at our stand alone. We also had a booth joint with our Japanese partner SP-Solutions, an authoritative technical expert in the screen printed electronics, and next to I-S-I a second Japanese partner specialized in high quality screen printing masks for printed electronics.

Since GENESINK has also been recognized as a high potential company, another GENESINK stand could be seen at the European pavilion thanks to the support of EU-Japan, a joint venture established by the European Commission and the Japanese government for promoting all forms of industrial, trade and investment cooperation between the EU and Japan.

At last, our new distributor and valued partner Mino Group, Japanese manufacturer of screen printing equipment and expert of printed electronics for several decades, dedicated two sales persons to support us in our endeavours to promote the high performance silver nano-inks during this event, demonstrating their trust in our products and the mutually supportive mindset of our framework.

GENESINK advanced nano-materials attracted a lot of attention during the three days. We welcomed tens of visitors to our booths who asked for printed samples, while two seminars dedicated to GENESINK products gathered an audience of more than 80 people in total.

In particular GENESINK silver nano-particles SMARTSCREEN R and F for screen printing and silver nano-wires TRANDUCTIVE generated a lot of interest and discussions among major Japanese electronics and materials makers.

This activities are in scope of GENESINK new branding strategy in Japan and the follow-up with all those new contacts in the coming months is going to be critical for the deepening of GENESINK activities and growth in Japan and all Asia.

When targeting fine lines, current products show their limits: strong resistivity, poor homogeneity, step effect for multilayer printing.

When looking to decrease the device thickness, substrate choice is a key parameter. Reduction of substrate thickness below 50µm, down to thickness such as 25µm, allows new applications. It is today limited by substrate surface waves resulting from adhesion during curing, but also by material thickness and dielectric passes.

GenesInk team will expose the possibilities for fine line printing as well as ultra-thin substrate electronics thru examples and existing technical solutions available at mass production scale.

Technology has had a huge impact in the world over the past 20 Years. The world of electronics evolves to bring more flexibility and functionality to everyday objects. By bringing printing process to electronic manufacturing, the Printed Electronics is the key sector allowing this electronic evolution.

Different printing methods can be used to create these new electronic applications (Screen printing, Ink Jet, flexography, …). Each printing methods shows differences in terms of performances and production speed.

Screen-printing is one of the oldest printing methods and have been there for over 100 years. Just like all the industries, there has been an evolution with advancements in technology. Digital printing is one of the latest advancements in the printing industry and was created in the early 90’s. The main difference between screen-printing and digital printing is that the digital printing process allows designs to be made on the computer and then printed directly.

The aim of this webinar is to present advantages and best use case scenarios of digital printing and screen printing. At the end of this webinar you will be able to choose the right printing process for your printed electronic developments.
